The Government of Pakistan has further released Rs.16.3 billion for the development of Gwadar Deep Sea Port Project.
Gwadar Port will accommodate huge 50,000 DWT Container Ships, 100,000 DWT Dry Bulk Carriers and 200,000 DWT Oil Tankers.
Earth breaking ceremony of Gwadar's New International Airport is going to take place shortly, it would allow latest landing facilities for big passenger and cargo aircraft.
Gwadar-Quetta Railway Line is being laid, it will further link with Iran and the Central Asian Region.
The 600 plus kilometers Coastal Highway that runs all along the unexplored blue water coastline has been formally inaugurated and opened. Connections with Nationwide Highways, linking the whole country and the region is under way.
Gwadar will provide Port, Warehousing, Transshipment and Industrial Facilities for over 20 Countries.
Experts believe that Gwadar Port has an edge over other ports of the whole region. Being situated opposite to the straits of Hormuz and directly on the mouth of the Persian Gulf. It is expected to serve as "A Mother Port ".
